Stub Stewart on Memorial Day Weekend

Here she is with awning and "bunting":

New cushions and curtains in place:

I had a horrible time getting her out of Parkrose RV Storage. They didn't have her out Thursday with 2 weeks notice, they didn't have her out Friday and we had to go camping with tents! Saturday she got out, but I had to waste all day going back to Portland to get her.

Check out Little Vintage Trailer blog!

Kelle has a fabulous blog with all sorts of vintage trailer tips and tutorials ( cushion covering like I did and plastic cup lights and lots more). She is a fellow Loyal Order of the Glamper member (another great group for trailer owners!).
She is currently running a give away for a trailer cover! Check it out at: />

Oilcloth cushions Fit!

I was more than slightly concerned that my new and improved and more plush cushions would be too plush. All the worry was for naught however, they fit and look great! It looks a bit pink, but is actually a red check pattern. New curtains still need to be finished!

Before and After:
I don't have a good picture of it, but basically I put batting and oilcloth around the old cushions stapled to light weight plywood. Kelle has a tutorial at

Projects in Progress

Re-doing the gaucho cushions...

We tore off the covers, yuck! A lot of dust and grime collected over 47 years!

I cut out most of the pieces out of my sunbrella fabric.
I also got a queen size extra firm foam mattress to cut up for cushion inserts. I had been planning on reusing, but wow, they were gross.

Outside trailer mat...
This was way more ambitious than I had planned originally. I am gluing fabric (Through the Woods Layer Cake squares by moda) onto canvas and then polyurethaning it. But first the fabric had to be sized:

Then it had to be laid out and glued onto canvas:

The white specks are the small amount of gesso I had on hand to prime it with. I really wish I had done more. Not having this properly primed this completely was a big mistake and caused me trouble.

Mommys helper did not make this go fast!
I have since mod podged this more. I still have to press it then polyurethane after I get the border done.

The only thing that got finished was Redneck Wine glasses for my friend Abby and I.
I put colored beads in the candleholder neck before sealing for easy ID!

Camping last summer at Lazy Bend

It just dawned on me that my sister had some pics from Sugardolly's first outing last summer that I never saw. She sent them today. This was at Lazy Bend.

Kind of tight spots here.

Back with my solar lights.

Bunting showing though the curtains in the night.

The kids actually weren't very happy the whole time, this was a quiet moment.

Fabric Tryout- cozy or not?

I'm a bit worried that it won't be as cozy with the new seat cushion fabric.
Here is the fabric tryout:

Vintage woodsies toy... Love them! Here you can see how much I need new cushions!
